- Does your charity’s blog look out-of-touch and out-of-date?
- Have you lots to say but no time to put it into words?
- Do you want new ways to engage deeply with your supporters?
If you need regular support with blog posts, I’ll turn your charity’s work into clear and engaging articles for your audiences.
I can write your blog posts from scratch, or I can edit drafts you’ve already written.
And if you need some help coming up with ideas for your blog, I’m happy to chip in my thoughts.
Writing blog posts
Producing regular content for your blog is a great way to keep your supporters up to date and involved in what you do. But it’s easy to leave writing blog posts to the last minute, or let them slip to the bottom of the to-do list.
Let me change that.
My blog posts will keep your supporters interested and engaged with your charity’s research, and every piece will be:
- Written to the brief you give me (word count, tone of voice, audience, etc.),
- Researched and checked for accuracy,
- Clearly written and engaging to read.
If you’re not sure what topics to cover on your blog, I can suggest ideas, or I can ‘sense-check’ yours. If you want, I can also conduct interviews to include in your blog posts.
What my clients have said about me:
“We were really excited by how quickly and effortlessly he picked up on our brand’s tone of voice… Richard impressed all of us with his writing skills and his ability to communicate complex science in a clear and exciting way.”
MQ: Transforming Mental Health
“Before working with Richard, we were struggling with capacity. We’d recently expanded as an organisation, and there was much more we wanted to do with our communications, but we didn’t have the resource in-house to do it. We needed to produce regular quality content to cement our position as a leading authority on cancer in Yorkshire, and become a trusted brand among the public, researchers, and healthcare professionals.
During our time working together, Richard has been consistently delivering high-quality blog posts. He brings an external point of view and experience within the sector, as well as a science background, which has been really valuable for our external communications. He’s also helped us discuss ideas around content, and has really gotten a feel for what messages we want to be putting out to our audiences.”
Yorkshire Cancer Research
“During the pandemic, Epilepsy Research UK launched a programme of blogs and webinars to share insights into the work of our funded researchers and maintain engagement with our supporters. Each month we focus on a specific theme, but in promoting the work, we found ourselves slipping into the detail of the science rather than communicating the relevance to people affected by epilepsy.
Richard has been able to [bring] the stories of our work to life, with a really fresh and accessible tone of voice. He’s able to explain the science in a way that is accessible, without being dumbed down. He connects the research with the voices of people affected by epilepsy, bringing these elements together beautifully, and making it enjoyable to read. We’re absolutely thrilled with how it’s been going.”
